Transform discarded plastic into elegant woven earrings in this workshop with local artist and activist Rachel Peters. Participants will be guided through the process of coil weaving beach-collected fishing rope and simple jewellery techniques to create a unique set of earrings. All materials supplied.
Rachel Peters is a Warrnambool based artist who works across media. Inspired by the natural environment her work highlights ecological threats and issues.
This workshop is a part of Stories from the Sea: Art, Place, Community. A community-led creative reuse and storytelling project addressing marine debris and volunteer fatigue along Shipwreck Coast. Assisted by Regional Arts Australia.
